Kingston is an area of London, but still has its own small town appeal. The town is ideal for walking, with plenty of shops both within an indoor centre and along the lovely streets. Dotted amongst the shops are small cafés, great for a quick bite and a refuel, plus a growing number of high quality restaurants to suit all tastes. On a sunny day, it's especially worth seeking out the riverside eateries for a chance to sit out on their terraces and watch the river life float passed. With the well-regarded Rose Theatre here as well, you can easily make a whole day and night out of a trip to Kingston.
