Find everything from chamber orchestras and opera, to dance, debates and clubbing at this concert hall in the Southbank Centre.

About

Built in a brutalist style in 1967 and refurbished in 2018, the Queen Elizabeth Hall hosts an exciting programme of classic and contemporary performances, as well as events, festivals and installations.

Settle down in the Queen Elizabeth Hall’s black leather-upholstered seats during one of its many concerts; or visit the smaller Purcell Room for chamber music, jazz and debates.

Alternatively, enjoy live gigs and monthly Concrete Lates club nights showcasing cutting-edge electronic music alongside river views in its 1,000-capacity foyer.

The second largest concert hall in the Southbank Centre complex has welcomed plenty of big names to its stages over four decades, from Harry Potter author JK Rowling, to leading pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood.

Now, restored to its former glory with floors, walls and ceilings taken back to the original designs, the hall continues to be one of London’s top music venues.
